Intermediate phase

(Grades 4-7)

While you are the most important coach in the life of your primary school child, we also have a qualified life coach

who is equipped to engagingly interact with your child and help them grasp basic skills, navigate life, and verbalise

their emotions. Our life coaches play a key role at our day camps where they interact with each child.

IDEAS builds on the Foundation Phase Journey Boxes and creates a challenging

and exciting learning experience that is relevant and builds higher order

thinking and future oriented skills. There is also a stronger focus on

additional languages with the introduction of two second languages.

Our life coaches continue to work with their peer groups to build

resilience, emotional intelligence and a growth mindset.

Our tailored approach

Students from Grades 4 to 6 fall within the Intermediate phase of primary school. Our phased approach to online primary schooling allows students to spend time on subjects they struggle with, and master topics faster in areas of interest and natural ability. This means that they might technically be in Grade 5, but can start with Grade 4 content in certain subjects to help lay so lid foundations and build up their mastery. The same child can also move forward in another subject to work that is typically only accessible in Grade 6, if they show the aptitude for it.
